On February 4th almost 1000 FLK members, friends and family joined to celebrate this years traditional Lantern Festival at Fung Loy Kok’s International Centre near Orangeville Ontario, Canada. Another amazing effort from the Centre’s kitchen crew produced delicious jai which was in turn served to those in attendance by a team of well organised volunteers.

It was another record year for the amount of funds raised and lanterns will find their way around the world to different Society premises and shrines plus member’s homes and businesses. A good time was enjoyed by all and the last dish was cleaned by 6 o’clock. Tired but happy volunteers enjoyed some more food from the kitchen and those with enough courage even returned to the banquet hall for a bit of fun with karaoke.
