On Saturday, January 26, 2013, the night of the full moon in Halifax, Nova Scotia, 98 members and guests were seated for a banquet at our beautiful centre to celebrate the arrival of the Year of the Snake. The guests included two members of the provincial legislative assembly, the deputy mayor of Halifax, and four city councillors. The ten-course Asian banquet was catered and served by chef Claude Aucoin, faculty at the Nova Scotia Community College, and his students. What a treat! What fantabulous food! We were at our tables for four hours enjoying the speeches, socializing with our friends, and enjoying the incredibly tasty dishes. The banquet was the highlight of the weekend workshop, which was attended by over 50 members.
