A Springtime Celebration in Tennessee

A local council member was our special guest.

On Saturday, April 4, the Oak Ridge, Tennessee, branch hosted a three-hour Intensive led by Dunedin, Florida’s own Pegoty Packman in our center. The intensive was promptly followed by a Spring Festival Banquet that held double meaning given the dogwoods that had just begun to bloom. In 45 minutes we managed for the first time to transform what moments before was an empty practice space into a festive dining venue seating 50. Among our guests was, for the first time, an Oak Ridge City Council member.  The ten-course meal was prepared by a local restaurant and expertly served by a team of seven volunteers. A rich program accompanied the meal with entertaining stories and heart-touching testimonials. Food, fun, friends and family—what more does a celebration need?
