Grand Opening in Fairbanks, Alaska

On July 16, 2011, the Alaska branch celebrated the grand opening of a new rental space in downtown Fairbanks. We were please to host Bob Miller, a state representative, and to have the Soaring Eagle Intertribal Drum Group perform for us. The steel drum band Good Pan Chi (a subset of the band Cold Steel) performed for us during the fabulous meal from Bahn Thai and a lion dance was performed by branch members. USA board member Theresa Roll came up to offer us a workshop, which was attended by local members as well as guests from both Oregon and Colorado. It was an enriching experience and we hope to do even better for our first anniversary next year.
