The property, a family residence, was purchased by the Fung Loy Kok Institute of Taoism. The address is Stadionweg 13, which is in the eastern part of Oranjestad, the capital of Aruba. The location is ideal as it is close to schools, the main sports stadium with a large parking lot and near a bus stop. The purchase of the property which was funded by the International Building Fund and now requires remodeling which the Society in Aruba will fund. Nevertheless, the Board invited the members to the house to do the first set of many and to toast the reaching of such an important milestone in the history of the Society in Aruba. Although the invitational e-mail was sent out at the last minute, an enthusiastic group of about 40 members turned out to celebrate that a long-awaited dream is coming true. A picture of Master Moy was hung on the wall to oversee the very first set in our newly acquired center. Below is a slide show of a recent cleanup day.
A home in Aruba is a dream the Society members have been working towards for 12 years. The Board and members express their sincere gratitude to the boards of the International Taoist Tai Chi Society and the Fung Loy Kok Institute of Taoism for entrusting the use of this building to the Taoist Tai Chi Society Aruba.
