Reports from National Seniors Week in Vancouver

Approximately 340 Tai Chi enthusiasts met in beautiful Vancouver for the 2012 National Seniors week. It was a week of meeting old friends and making new ones. Representatives were here from all over Canada, from Halifax to Victoria as well as the USA, Costa Rica, and Scotland.

Simon Fraser University provided a beautiful mountain setting. We received instruction from Dave Frame, Nicole Morency, and Susan Lundy, who had us doing lots of danyus in a spacious gym. As usual, eating and buying t-shirts was part of the fun. Many took advantage of the area to go for walks.

Seniors’ Week is a wonderful opportunity to come together with our Tai Chi family. The week included a tour of beautiful Vancouver, a demo at Jericho Park, and dinner at the Floata restaurant. Stay tuned for pictures from that exciting day.
