France Hosts International Workshop

atelier 1Some 72 members from all over Europe came to Lamballe for an International Workshop this weekend. Countries represented included Belgium, Switzerland, England, Wales and Spain, as well as Brittany, in the west of France.  The workshop was taught by Julie Poulain from Montréal in Canada’s Eastern Region.

The theme of Julie’s instruction was “connection” and everyone  worked in good humor and friendliness to connect all parts of their body through the practice of Taoist Tai Chi.

Members practiced foundation movements, applying a basic principle: push with the feet not the muscles. The group also applied this principle to the first part of the set and to push hands.

This workshop was an opportunity for everyone to share in the experience and the feeling of this connected way to practice, but also to share friendly moments during breaks and meals. All this was prepared by a team of volunteer members who, once again, helped to make this workshop a success.

Everyone returned home full of enthusiasm, with the intention of pushing from the feet and connecting into practice regularly.
