Newfoundland Celebrates the year of the Sheep

New Year's 3Thirty-nine enthusiastic participants from the Newfoundland Branch gathered on February 21st to celebrate the Chinese New Year.  A local Chinese restaurant played host as we enjoyed a meal and festivities.  We learned unique features of the Year of the Sheep, and many door prizes were distributed, including a small stuffed animal in the form of a sheep.

The highlight of the event was the draw for the lucky ticket winner of our beautiful, handmade quilt.  It was designed and stitched by our local members.  This has also been a highly successful fundraiser for our club.  It was a festive event, setting the stage for a terrific year for the Newfoundland Taoist Tai Chi Society.
